Why a Vision Board can help you figure out what you want in life!

Two years ago I created my first vision board. I was blown away by how everything I had put on there came into my reality! You can have this too!

First of all, what is a Vision Board?

A vision board is a board with images and words cut from magazines (or created digitally) that represent what you want and desire deep down or subconsciously in the coming year and beyond!

They are your secret weapon to understanding and discovering your needs, desires, and wants. They are also magical in that they help you to achieve your desires and goals!

How they are magical for everyone...

If you’re feeling stuck or lost in life, Vision Boards can help you focus on what you need right now! You'll be subconsciously drawn to images that resonate in some way and the magic reveals itself when you delve into what these images really mean to you.

If you know what you want in life, Vision Boards can help you to achieve your goals a lot quicker than just thinking about them or even just writing them down!

Here’s why...

We get what we focus on!

By focussing on your vision board every day, your brain will seek opportunities in connection to what’s on your vision board. This is because you’ve shown it what you want to focus on.

Each day our brain takes in millions of pieces of information. We filter everything through a lens of how we see the world. We see the world through what we believe, what’s important to us, what we fear, and what we’re focussed on. Everything else is dismissed!

Our brain needs to do this otherwise it would crash a bit like a computer, with the sheer amount of data it’s taking in.

Think of it this way, as a new parent you may have been considering what type of pushchair to buy for example. You would have seen pushchairs everywhere because that is what you’re focussing on.

Similarly, if you were focused on buying a new car of a specific make and model, you would start seeing those everywhere. This is your Reticular Activating System (RAS) in action filtering data based on what you are focused on.

Your RAS is a network of nerves in your brainstem that filters information that we take in all the time.

Visualising what you want is key to success...

Many famous people have used the power of visualisation - focussing on what they want - to achieve great success. Think Oprah, Katy Perry, Jack Canfield and Jim Carrey, to name a few.

Katy Perry made her first vision board when she was 9 years old. She put a picture of singer Selena holding her golden statuette she'd just won onto her Vision Board. 15 years later Katy was nominated for her grammy award!

Jack Canfield, made his first vision board in the 1970's and it was a $100,000 bill. He made $92,000 that same year. He went on to make $1000,000 from book royalties from his first book Chicken Soup for the Soul after designing a further vision board.

On my own retreats, through creating their own Vision Board, women have gone on to find their dream job, achieve more life balance, realise what they do want in life and much more.

If you'd love to be guided in a calm, safe environment to make your own Vision Board AND have my support after the retreat to make your dreams and desires a reality, visit my events page for upcoming Virtual Vision Board Retreats here.
